Another school year over... Almost...

I cannot believe it's June.. I know I probably say that every single month but I really can't believe it! It seems like the school year just started! Don't get me wrong.... I am not the mom that dreads having my kids around all summer... I actually look forward to it, although I'm sure I will be singing a different tune in a couple of weeks. The end of this school year is a little bittersweet for all of us.. (Isaac and Jake included)

Isaac is "graduating" from 6th grade tomorrow! It's crazy that he will be in 7th grade next year! I'm excited for him but nervous... I hated 7th grade! Absolutely hated it but I'm hoping he will have a different experience than I had!

Isaac isn't the only one going to a new school... Both boys will be going to the charter school this year and they have mixed feelings about it. I'm excited for a million reasons but I understand their concerns. Jake is sad that he will be leaving his friends... (I don't think any of his close friends will be going to the charter school with the exception of Halle).. and he HATES the fact that he will have to wear a uniform (one of the millions of things I couldn't be happier about).. Isaac is much happier with the situation than he was in the beginning.. When he found out his best friend Brandon wouldn't be going to the charter school, you would have thought we cut off his right leg but he has come to terms with it and seems pretty excited now.

I love the fact that they will be going to the same school still.. it is K-8 and I love the fact that if Sophie gets into the school she will be going with Jake for a few years!

Sophie is 3 which means she can start preschool this fall if we choose to do it! I haven't made up my mind yet. Jay is fine either way so I guess it is up to me! I think the social interaction would be really good for her but I know that I could keep her to myself for one more year and still get a year of preschool in before Kindergarten... I can't believe I'm even saying that. It seems like she was just born!

I am just amazed at how fast they have all grown!! When I say I have a twelve and a nine year old it still feels weird coming out of my mouth! And the fact that Sophie is running, conversation-having three year old just blows my mind.

I am so lucky to have such amazing kids that teach me what it means to love unconditionally every single day. They are all so unique and so perfect and I couldn't love them more! I am grateful to them for the examples they are to me and Jay. They have taught us to enjoy the simple things in life and to not "sweat the small stuff"..
